VC Jubilee
VC Jubilee is the youth section of Brighton Excelsior CC, established in 1998 we have over 80 riders aged between 6-18 who take part in various cycling activities across the UK.
Formed in 1998, VCJ had 50 members in our first year making us the largest club of this type in the south of England. As well as being made an official Go Ride club by British Cycling we were also the first cycling club to achieve the Club Mark accreditation that confirms our status as one of the best-run youth cycling clubs.
Our core activity is on Saturday mornings when a skills session is followed by a coach-led ride. We also run and take part in:
The club also hosts a number of high profile events each year including Round 1 of the London/Sussex Cyclo-cross league.
The club is all about having fun on the bike, we welcome riders and coach them in the skills of cycling in a safe and structured environment. All of our coaches are British Cycling qualified and are fully first aid trained.
If you are interested in riding with us, fantastic and we look forward to meeting you. However, before your first ride there are a few things that you (or your parents) need to do.
Firstly, head over to the membership section and complete the young riders form. There is no need to take out a membership for your first few rides.
Secondly, go to the calendar, select the session you want to come along to and book in, there is no charge for the sessions. We require all riders to book so we know how many riders will be coming along.
Lastly, read the information on this page, we expect all our riders to do this before every session so they are ready to go. If we need any further information we will contact you (usually via email) before your ride.
As a registered British Cycling Clubmark club we have some important documents we publish online.
