The Brighton Excelsior Cycling Club meet on Wednesday evenings from 8.00pm September - April at: Adur Outdoor Activities Centre, Brighton Road, Shoreham-by-Sea, West Sussex, BN43 5LT, and at Preston Park Track from 6.30pm to watch/participate in track racing on Wednesdays April - August

We're into MTB, time trial, road race, track, cross-country, cyclo-cross, touring, training, coaching, youth development (VC Jubilee) etc... and having some fun.

VC Jubilee youth development cycling club is the youth section of Brighton Excelsior. We partake in all types of cyclesport too, with emphasis on coaching and training for 9 - 18 year olds. Younger riders can come along with parent/guardian too. VC Jubilee holds the nationally recognised British Cycling (NGB) "GO-RIDE" status and is accredited with Sport Englands Clubmark status.

Winter update to coached training sessions for turbo, track and cyclocross/cross country sessions.

New Club Champion!

Congratulations go to Chris Hodge who is now club champion after completing the 25m TT on Sunday 3rd August in 1hr 04mins, in very bad weather conditions.

BECC promoting Surrey League Road Race Goodwood 12th Oct 2008

Please place this date in your diaries, either for racing or helping promote this event, marshalls, sign on etc. All help much appreciated for this days events for Youth and Senior races at Glorious Goodwood (the race track not the one for horses!). Visit the Surrey League website

• BECC/VC Jubilee "Go-Ride" open days:
  [2004 programme | 2004 press release] and [2005 programme | 2005 press release] and [2006 programme] and [2007 BECC/VCJ Open Day programme]. Activities include: MTB ride, skills challenge, iMagic virtual reality riding, olympic discipline fun events, coaching, etc.

• BECC Gold, Silver and Bronze Time Standards:
  Club members can register for £5 - they provide target times for different distances. Bronze, Silver and Gold certificates are available for Juveniles, Juniors, Seniors and Veterans. See the BECC Time Standards page for criteria and the target times. Something to be proud of. Any club or open event counts towards getting your standard remember to keep records of all your race times during the year.

We've been awarded £4430 from Awards For All Lottery Grant, in August 2002 to obtain 4x virtual reality trainers - iMagic Trainers - and other necessary equipment to set up a "virtual reality racing league". See the yearly VR league results for from our events page.
